Praise to Allah and His Knowledge
Praise be to Allah, to whom belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is on the earth. And praise be to Him in the Hereafter. He is the Wise, the Aware.
He knows what goes into the earth and what comes out of it, and what descends from the sky and what ascends to it. And He is the Merciful, the Forgiving.
Those who disbelieve say, The Hour will not come to us. Say, Yes, by my Lord, it will surely come to you. He is the Knower of the unseen. Not even an atoms weight escapes Him in the heavens or on the earth, nor is there anything smaller or greater than that except that it is in a clear record.
Reward for Believers and Punishment for Disbelievers
That He may reward those who believe and do righteous deeds. Those will have forgiveness and noble provision.
But those who strive against Our verses to frustrate them, those will have a painful punishment of foul nature.
Those who have been given knowledge see that what is revealed to you from your Lord is the truth, and it guides to the path of the Exalted in Might, the Praiseworthy.
But those who disbelieve say, Shall we direct you to a man who will inform you that when you have disintegrated in complete disintegration, you will be in a new creation?
Has he invented a lie about Allah or is there in him madness? Rather, those who do not believe in the Hereafter will be in the punishment and extreme error.
Then, do they not look at what is before them and what is behind them of the heaven and earth? If We should will, We could cause the earth to swallow them or cause pieces of the sky to fall upon them. Indeed in that is a sign for every servant turning back to Allah.
Blessings Given to David and Solomon
We gave David grace from Us. O mountains, echo his praises, and birds too. We made iron pliable for him.
Make full coats of mail, balancing the links, and work righteousness. Indeed, I am Seeing of what you do.
And to Solomon We subjected the wind, its morning course was a month, and its evening course was a month. And We made a fountain of molten copper flow for him. And among the jinn were those who worked for him by the permission of his Lord. And whoever deviated among them from Our command, We made him taste of the punishment of the Blaze.
They made for him what he willed of sanctuaries and statues and basins like reservoirs and fixed cauldrons. Work, O family of David, in gratitude. And few of My servants are grateful.
Then when We decreed death for him, nothing indicated to them his death except a creature of the earth eating his staff. But when he fell, the jinn realized that if they had known the unseen, they would not have remained in humiliating punishment.
The People of Saba and Their Punishment
There was for Saba in their dwelling place a sign two gardens on the right and on the left. Eat from the provision of your Lord and be grateful to Him. A good land and a forgiving Lord.
But they turned away, so We sent upon them the flood of the dam, and We replaced their two gardens with two gardens of bitter fruit, tamarisks and something of sparse lote trees.
That We rewarded them because they disbelieved. And do We punish except the ungrateful?
And We placed between them and the towns which We had blessed visible towns. And We determined between them the journey, saying, Travel between them by night and day in safety.
But they said, Our Lord, lengthen the distance between our journeys. And they wronged themselves, so We made them narrations and dispersed them in total dispersion. Indeed in that are signs for everyone patient and grateful.
And Satan had already confirmed through them his assumption, so they followed him, except for a party of believers.
And he had over them no authority except that We might make evident who believes in the Hereafter from who is thereof in doubt. And your Lord, over all things, is Guardian.
False Gods and the Day of Judgment
Say Call upon those you claim besides God. They do not possess an atoms weight in the heavens or on the earth, nor do they have any partnership in either, nor does He have any helpers among them.
No intercession will benefit with Him except for one He permits. Until when fear is removed from their hearts, they will say What did your Lord say? They will say The truth. And He is the Most High, the Great.
Say Who provides for you from the heavens and the earth? Say God. And indeed, we or you are either upon guidance or in clear error.
Say You will not be asked about what we committed, and we will not be asked about what you do.
Say Our Lord will bring us together, then He will judge between us in truth. And He is the Knowing Judge.
Say Show me those you have joined with Him as partners. No! Rather, He is God, the Almighty, the Wise.
And We have not sent you except as a bringer of good tidings and a warner to all mankind, but most people do not know.
And they say When is this promise, if you should be truthful?
Say For you is the appointment of a Day which you cannot postpone for an hour nor advance.
Dialogue Between the Weak and the Arrogant
Those who disbelieve say We will never believe in this Quran nor in what came before it. If you could see when the wrongdoers are made to stand before their Lord exchanging blame with one another. Those who were oppressed will say to those who were arrogant Had it not been for you we would have been believers.
Those who were arrogant will say to those who were oppressed Did we prevent you from guidance after it had come to you No you were criminals yourselves.
Those who were oppressed will say to those who were arrogant No it was your scheming by night and day when you ordered us to disbelieve in God and set up equals to Him. They will conceal their remorse when they see the punishment. We will put shackles on the necks of those who disbelieved. Are they being repaid except for what they used to do.
Rejection of Messengers and Worldly Wealth
We never sent a warner to a town except that its wealthy ones said We disbelieve in what you have been sent with
And they said We have more wealth and children and we will not be punished
Say Indeed my Lord extends provision for whom He wills and restricts but most of the people do not know
And not your wealth nor your children will bring you closer to Us in position but whoever believes and does righteousness those will have the double reward for what they did and they will be in the high positions secure
And those who strive against Our verses to frustrate them those will be brought into the punishment
Say Indeed my Lord extends provision for whom He wills of His servants and restricts for him And whatever you spend of anything He will compensate it and He is the best of providers
The Day of Judgment and Fate of Disbelievers
On the Day He will gather them all together and say to the angels, Is it you these people used to worship
They will say, Glory be to You. You are our protector, not them. Rather, they used to worship the jinn most of them believed in them
So today you have no power over each other for benefit or harm. And We will say to those who wronged, Taste the punishment of the Fire which you used to deny
And when Our clear verses are recited to them, they say, This is only a man who wishes to hinder you from what your fathers used to worship. And they say, This is nothing but an invented lie. And those who disbelieve say of the truth when it has come to them, This is nothing but obvious magic
And We had not given them any scriptures which they could study, nor had We sent to them before you any warner
And those before them denied, and they have not attained a tenth of what We had given them. But they denied My messengers, so how severe was My rejection
The Prophet's Message and Warning
Say: I only advise you to do one thing: stand before God in pairs or individually and reflect. Your companion is not mad. He is only a warner to you before a severe punishment.
Say: Whatever reward I have asked of you is yours. My reward is only from God, and He is Witness over all things.
Say: My Lord projects the truth. He is the Knower of the unseen.
Say: The truth has come, and falsehood can neither originate nor reproduce.
Say: If I am astray, I only stray against myself. And if I am guided, it is by what my Lord reveals to me. He is All-Hearing, Ever-Near.
Disbelievers' Reaction on the Day of Judgment
If you could see when they are terrified with no escape and are seized from a nearby place
And they say We believe in it but how can they reach faith from such a distant place
They had disbelieved in it before and they used to make assumptions about the unseen from a distant place
A barrier will be placed between them and what they desire as was done with their kind before Indeed they were in disquieting doubt
