Oaths and Affirmation of Judgment Day

By the scattering winds

And the clouds carrying rain

And the ships sailing with ease

And the angels distributing matters

Indeed what you are promised is true

And the judgment will surely occur

Condemnation of Disbelievers

By the sky with its pathways

Indeed you are in differing speech

Turned away from it is he who is deluded

Destroyed are the liars

Those who are in heedlessness, unaware

They ask When is the Day of Judgment

The Day they will be tormented over the Fire

Taste your torment. This is what you were hastening

Characteristics of the Righteous

Indeed the righteous will be among gardens and springs

Taking what their Lord has given them Indeed they were before that doers of good

They used to sleep but little of the night

And in the hours before dawn they would ask forgiveness

And from their wealth was a share for the beggar and the deprived

Signs of God's Power in Creation

And on the earth are signs for those with certainty

And in yourselves. Do you not see

And in the sky is your provision and what you are promised

So by the Lord of the heaven and earth it is truth just as you speak

Story of Abraham's Guests

Has the story of the honored guests of Abraham reached you

When they entered upon him and said Peace he said Peace unfamiliar people

Then he went to his family and came with a fat roasted calf

And he placed it near them he said Will you not eat

Then he felt a fear of them They said Do not fear and they gave him good news of a knowledgeable son

Then his wife came forward with a loud cry and struck her face and said A barren old woman

They said Thus has your Lord decreed Indeed He is the Wise the Knowing

He said Then what is your mission O messengers

They said Indeed we have been sent to a criminal people

To send upon them stones of clay

Marked by your Lord for the transgressors

Then We evacuated whoever was in the city of the believers

But We found not within it other than a single house of Muslims

And We left therein a sign for those who fear the painful punishment

Examples of Divine Punishment

And in Moses when We sent him to Pharaoh with clear authority

But he turned away with his supporters and said A magician or a madman

So We seized him and his soldiers and cast them into the sea while he was blameworthy

And in Aad when We sent upon them the barren wind

It left nothing it came upon but made it like disintegrated ruins

And in Thamud when it was said to them Enjoy yourselves for a time

But they defied the command of their Lord so the thunderbolt seized them while they were looking

And they were unable to rise up nor could they defend themselves

And the people of Noah before Indeed they were a defiantly disobedient people

God's Creation and Power

We built the sky with strength, and We are expanding it.

And the earth We spread out. How excellent are We as spreaders.

And of everything We created pairs, so that you might remember.

So flee to God. I am a clear warner to you from Him.

And do not make another god with God. I am a clear warner to you from Him.

Warning to Disbelievers

Similarly, no messenger came to those before them without them saying, A magician or a madman.

Did they pass this on to one another? Rather, they are a transgressing people.

So turn away from them, for you are not to blame.

And remind, for indeed, the reminder benefits the believers.

Purpose of Human Creation

I created jinn and humans only to worship Me.

I do not want any provision from them, nor do I want them to feed Me.

Indeed, God is the Provider, the Possessor of Power, the Strong.

So those who wronged will have a portion like the portion of their companions, so let them not ask Me to hasten.

Woe to those who disbelieve from their Day which they are promised.
